EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone joins the group of speakers at the Security of Poland 2026 Congress.
EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ co-creates the debate on Poland’s security
On 25–26 May 2026, the next edition of the Security of Poland Congress will be held at the ZEN.COM Expo Exhibition and Congress Centre in Rzeszów‑Jasionka – one of the most important events in Poland devoted to security in the broad sense and to the economic and technological foundations of the state.
Each year, the event brings together representatives of central and local government, the defence sector, security services, as well as business and industry leaders. The joint presence of these communities creates a unique space for exchanging experience, presenting the latest solutions and building cross‑sector cooperation.
The Congress as a platform for strategic dialogue
The Security of Poland Congress responds to the growing importance of security issues in the context of current geopolitical challenges, the dynamic development of technology and the need to build state resilience to crisis situations.
The event programme includes:
- more than 20 thematic blocks,
- speeches and debates with around 200 speakers,
- and nearly 4,000 participants representing key sectors of the economy and public administration.
The thematic scope of the Congress covers, among others:
- military and civil security,
- cybersecurity and new technologies,
- protection of critical infrastructure,
- development of the defence industry,
- and cooperation between the public and private sectors.
An important element of the event are also presentations of innovative technological solutions, including systems used in the defence sector, which further highlight the role of modern industry in the state security system.
The voice of EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ in a key debate
We are pleased to announce that among the speakers at this year’s edition of the Congress will be Wiktor Cichoń – Director of the Industrial Development Agency JSC (ARP S.A.) Branch in Mielec, responsible for managing the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone.
The Director’s participation confirms the importance that the industrial sector and investment zones play in the contemporary security system.
Wiktor Cichoń will take part in a debate entitled:
“How can private companies be part of civil defence?”, which will address one of the key issues – the role of enterprises in building state and societal resilience to crisis situations.
This discussion reflects the growing trend of viewing security as an area that requires the involvement not only of public institutions, but also of the private sector and industry.
The role of industry and economic zones in the security system
Contemporary state security cannot be analysed solely through the prism of military action. Economic and infrastructural factors are increasingly important in determining the ability to respond to crisis situations.
In this context, entities such as the EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ play a special role, as they provide:
- a production base for key industrial sectors,
- a space for the development of modern technologies,
- an element stabilising supply chains,
- and a partner for public administration in activities for economic security.
Companies operating in economic zones are increasingly involved in projects of strategic importance, cooperating both with the defence sector and with state institutions.
Shared responsibility for the future
The Congress motto – “Strategic challenges. Real solutions. Shared responsibility” – underlines the need to build the security system on cooperation between many stakeholder groups.
Only by integrating knowledge, experience and resources is it possible to develop effective solutions that respond to contemporary threats and challenges.
The participation of a representative of the EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ in the Security of Poland 2026 Congress is an important element of this cooperation and confirms the growing role of industry and investment in building a stable, resilient and secure economy.
The region at the centre of a key debate
Holding the Congress in Rzeszów – one of the most important industrial and technological centres in Poland – further underlines the importance of the Podkarpackie region as an area where economic development is closely linked with state security.
For the EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ, participation in this event is not only an opportunity to take part in a high‑level debate, but also a chance to promote the investment potential of the region and to build relations with key national and international partners.
