Pupils from the region learned how the zone operates and how industrial companies work.

Over the past two weeks, the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone hosted Open Days for primary school pupils from the region. Schools from Wadowice Dolne, Wadowice Górne, Jamy, Mielec and Wampierzów took part in the event. The initiative aimed to familiarise young people with how the zone operates and what work in the industrial sector looks like in practice.

Visit programme and topics

The programme included a meeting at the Mielec branch of Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu S.A. (ARP S.A.), during which the history and the operating principles of the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone were presented. Pupils learned about the role of the zone in the region’s economic development and the importance of industrial investments for the local labour market.

The next part of the visit was a tour of the investment areas, which allowed participants to learn more about the operations of companies based in the zone.

Visits to production plants

An important part of the programme were study visits to the production plants of PZL Mielec and ITA TOOLS. Pupils observed technological processes and work organisation in modern industry.

The visits also helped them learn about possible career paths and the skills required in the industrial and technology sectors.

Cooperation with enterprises

The event was made possible thanks to the involvement of companies operating in the zone. Cooperation with business is an important part of the EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ activities aimed at building strong links between education and industry.

Importance of the initiative

The Open Days form part of the EURO-PARK MIELEC SEZ activities focused on strengthening human capital in the region. The initiative supports career awareness among young people and brings them closer to the realities of today’s labour market.

Activities of this kind help young people make informed educational and career choices and support the long-term development of the region’s industrial potential.
